FUNDRAISER COORDINATOR

Reports to: Advent House Directors

Position Summary:

Implement the growth and development of fundraising events for Advent House, a small non profit comfort care home in Fairport. Advocate for and promote awareness of Advent House within the Community. This is a 20 hours per week, salaried position. Days and hours to work are flexible.

Duties:

Maintain and foster growth of current fundraisers:

  • Golf Tournament
  • Gala
  • Annual Appeals
  • Pickleball Tournament
  • United Way Donor Option Choice campaign 

Develop a comprehensive strategy to increase revenue:

  • Create new fundraising events
  • Obtain grants, through grant writing
  • Strategic marketing
  • Nurture current donors, while cultivating new ones
  • Create and maintain strong relationships to ensure continued support and growth

Serve as chair of fundraising committees, oversee all activities of these committees. 

Organize mailings for all activities, annual appeals, memorial acknowledgments, thank you letters, etc.

Attend and participate in staff meetings, quarterly Advent House Board meetings, and Finance Committee Meetings.

Maintain Advent House website and social media channels.

Process incoming donations and ensure accurate record keeping in Donor Snap, including all information related to fundraising:

  • Resident, family and donor demographics
  • Donations, Memorials
  • Fundraisers 
  • Thank you correspondences

Other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

Event planning experience and ability to obtain sponsors

Pleasant, outgoing personality

Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Demonstrated computer literacy

Comfortable working within the hospice environment

Ability to work as a team member

Ability to be flexible, dependable and punctual

Neat in appearance
